American Flag Mural

Beginning

My canvas for this mural was a 12 x 8 ft, off-white painted cinder block shed wall located outdoors.

Process

I began by sketching with pencil directly onto the wall.

I then began to outline and fill in the sections I had drawn with acrylic paint.

Once I had painted large flat areas of color, I began adding value and shading.

Once the color and shading was done, I added placeholders for the 50 stars.

Once I added the stars and touched up some of the paint, I was finished!
